Panda Bear

As I mentioned previously, we were at the urgent care on Christmas Eve.  Ollie was sick with an ear infection and pink eye.  Then, ten days later after the last drop of the antibiotic was dispensed, he still was not well.  We went back to the doctor.  She gave us a 21-day antibiotic.  Who's ever heard of a 21-day round of antibiotics?  Then, about five days into that I decided we needed to go back to the doctor again because he didn't seem to be getting any better.  We ended up at our doctor's office on Saturday morning for their walk-in hours.  I'm so grateful they have Saturday hours.  At this appointment we had the on-call doctor, but as luck would have it - it was one of our regular doctor's who knows Ollie quite well.  She said to scrap the medicine we had been given and she was going to give us a stronger medicine for him to take, but in addition to that we needed to ramp up the breathing treatments.  So, instead of our normal once a night "panda bear" treatment, we needed to do 3-4 a day.  We have been doing that for awhile now.  I do feel like he's finally getting better, but just in time for Drew to now be sick.

So, now we are doing "Panda Bear" with Ollie morning and night and then we switch to Drew after Ollie is done.  Panda Bear is how we fondly refer to our nebulizer.  It looks like a panda bear.

The boys have been such troopers with the nebulizer.  It's not fun, but they do it without complaint.  Ollie will tell us when he thinks he's done by saying "done, done, done" all while signing the word "done" to us.  We say to him, "one more minute."  He'll repeat, "one more...one more..."

They are good kids.
