I was about to start a new Blog about our weekend fun at Sweetwater Creek State Park, but when I logged onto blogger.com, I saw a random post down the list that was started, but never posted. My curiosity got the better of me, so I took a look at what it was. It was Ollie's birthday party invitation. When we ordered Ollie's party invitations, we saved an image to a new blog post so we wouldn't forget to add it to his birthday party blog post. Obviously, that worked really well. I know its about three weeks now past Ollie's birthday, but around here we follow Grammy's ideology by celebrating the birthmonth. Alright, I know it's June, so to be fair, I'd thought it would be fun to go back and revisit Drew's first birthday party invitation too.
Drew and Ollie are as different as night and day now in the looks and personalities. Albeit, the older they get, the lesser the disparity in their ages really seems. I'm sure they'll be great brother's as the grow up, and look after each other even into adult hood. Or at least I can only hope. But for now, Drew loves to give Ollie hugs, and Ollie has even started planting his slobbery open-mouthed kisses on Drew. Ollie loves to climb on Drew's bed, and Drew is very tolerant to Ollie climbing all over him. Ollie mimics every thing Drew does, and actually visa-verse on that one. Lately, Drew has learned to love roaring like a lion. He gets up close to you and, "ROAR!". Ollie loves this, and returns with his own sweet high-pitched, barely audible, "roar." Drew loves chasing Ollie around the house, and Ollie loves to be chased around the house. Ollie can be very wild, careless, and a bit dare-devilish, while Drew takes Ollie's safety upon himself following him around warning, "Danger Ollie, Danger."
While I'm sure the antics will change as the get older, I sure hope the interaction stays like this forever. However, I digress back to my original intent of this post. Below are the invitations to both Drew's and Ollie's first birthday parties. It's kind of fun to view them side-by-side considering that their pictures were taken when they were about the same age.

Those boys are looking more alike that you realize. I think it's in the eyes and cheeks. They don't look alike but they do look like brothers.
